Tim Wooten, 58, of Destin, was welcomed home to his heavenly Father on July 7, 2015.
He was born in Columbia, S.C., Nov. 19, 1956. He graduated from the University of Georgia in 1979 with a BS degree in Marketing. He was a proud Georgia Bulldog and relished the many friendships he developed as a member of ATO Fraternity. He had a deep passion for golf, which overflowed to Denise and the Kelly Plantation golf community.
Throughout his IT sales career, Tim was fondly remembered for his relationship building, entrepreneurial spirit and strong character. His passion for people showed through his smile, keen mischievous wit, and genuine soft-hearted approach. His love for the Lord and his family was evident for all to see. Tim always focused on integrity, doing what is right and fair and in this his spirit will always endure.
Tim was preceded in death by his father, Hoyd; mother, Helen Pesnell and stepfather, Jim McMeen.
He is survived by his loving wife, Denise; beloved son, Tyler; stepsisters, Nancy Freeman, Claudia Brazell, Beth McMeen and numerous cousins and extended family.
A Celebration of Timís life is scheduled at 2:30 p.m. July 14 at Kelly Plantation Golf Club, 307 Kelly Plantation Drive, Destin.
