Destinís Madison Tenore won her age division in the Northwest Florida Daily News Junior Classic held at the Fort Walton Beach Pines Course.



In the 11 to 14 year old division, Tenore shot a 72 and a 79 for a two day total of 151 and the trophy.



Tenore, a Destin Middle School golfer, won by two strokes.



Megan Schofill of Tallhassee placed second with a 75 and a 78 for a total of 153, while Alia Scotia of Crestview came in third with an 81 and 78 for a total of 159.



Although there were windy conditions, there were some low scores in the girls 15 to 18 year old division with Lauren Miller of Niceville shooting a 66 on Wednesday and Lindsey Harrison of Panama City shooting a 66 on Thursday.



Other notables from Destin were Matson Goodson in the 15 to 18 boys with a 75 and 70 for a total of 145 and tied for fifth. Blake Rigdon, 13 to 14 boys, shot a  76 and 79 for a total of 155 to place fourth.
