James Rothchild, son of Steve and Wendy Wilson of Destin, served with the Army years ago in the Kosovo War and then re-enlisted in the Air Force Reserve at Duke Field in July 2014. He resides with his wife and children in Niceville and just spent the summer at Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, Texas.

"The past 15 weeks I learned the operational and construction features of the C130," Rothchild said. "We removed and installed major engine components as well as performed prop and engine changes. Took and passed five major tests to become a turbo prop mechanic.

The Wilson's other son, Larry, went to the Collegiate High School and graduated with an AA degree, then went to UWF and graduated with a criminal justice degree. Returning to Destin, he worked for Okaloosa County Public Beach Safety and was trained to be a technical rescue expert for Okaloosa County. For the last three years, he has been at the Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange, Fla., and graduated in June. Dr. Larry Wilson and his wife now live in Tampa.
