Sathya Sai Baba
The Sathya Sai Baba Group of Fort Walton Beach will meet for meditation, devotional singing, and prayers for world peace, from 2-3 p.m. Jan. 13 at the home of Jorja Kelley, Call 642-0183 for directions. People of all faiths are welcome. A video of the life and teachings of Sathya Sai Baba will be shown and light refreshments served.

Life after Loss
A workshop of help in understanding the process of grief and in receiving healing in Jesus will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Jan. 19 at Grace Lutheran Church, 4325 Commons Drive W. in Destin. A light lunch will be served.
Leader of the workshop is Rev. Jim Kirk. His life changed when he lost his wife of 13 years in a car accident. Since then, countless lives have changed through his ministry to help people toward life after loss in Jesus Christ.
Jim has spent the last 25 years providing care to those who have experienced loss, leading workshops on loss and grief in Missouri, Illinois, Iowa, and Tennessee. Ordained in 1985, Pastor Jim presently serves as Visitation Pastor of St. John Lutheran Church in Arnold, Mo.
Pastor Jim will also preach “Stetcher-Bearers” at the 9:30 a.m. service on Jan. 20.

Women and teen conference
The second Shine On Women’s & Teen’s Conference will be held March 15-16 at the Emerald Convention Center on Okaloosa Island. Speakers will be Dee Chernicky, Ruth Graham, Cathy Duplantis, Mona Ponder, Scarlett Harrington, Valerie Peterson, and Faith Ellisor. Online registration is at and includes two speaker luncheons. The Gathering
The Gathering at Sandestin, a non-denominational Christian worship service, meets weekly at 10 a.m. in the Terrace Room of the Linkside Conference Center in the Sandestin Resort. David Seering, worship leader, and Billy Gray, pastor, lead the service.
Seering is a local entertainer who has performed for the military, three presidents, and a multitude of recording stars, not to mention many local events and charities. Gray is head of Billy Gray Ministries, a global missionary group that brings the Word of Christ.

Upper Room Morning Worship
Gather in the “upper room” upstairs at Marlin Grill in The Village of Baytowne Wharf at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort at 9 a.m. each Sunday for an interdenominational morning service of teaching, praise and worship. Dress casual. Call 543-4382.
