DESTIN – A man who left Bealls with more than $100 worth of stolen clothing hidden under his own was charged with theft.
According to his Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office arrest report, he selected 10 items of clothing and then went into a fitting room. When he came out, he had only two items of clothing, neither of which he purchased.
Loss prevention specialists found three items in the dressing room.
After he left the store without purchasing anything, he was confronted in the parking lot.
He had two T-shirts and two pairs of shorts on under his own clothes, the report said.
After being read his rights, he admitted to hiding the items and taking them out of the store without paying for them.
