DESTIN – A woman who called her ex-husband repeatedly at work, threatening to kill herself, was charged with violating the conditions of her pre-trial release.
The 61-year-old had been banned from contact with her husband after a battery arrest in early December, according to her Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office arrest report.
The woman told her husband that if he didn’t answer the phone, he would “find her body at the mortuary,” the report said.
In a subsequent call, she said if he didn’t come home in the next 10 minutes, he would “find a dead body at the house.”
Her ex-husband and his boss met the woman in the parking lot and as she attempted to leave, he reached in to put the vehicle in park. She then hit him in the head four times, the report said.
She was taken into protective custody and charged with battery and violating the conditions of her release.
