Village Baptist Church will hold the 15th annual Resurrection Run, a fun and friendly competition to benefit many of Village’s missions and ministries, at 8 a.m. on Saturday, April 14.

The event is an out and back 5K walk/run and 10K run that begins on Mark Boulevard next to the church and continues down Scenic Highway 98. Participants assemble at the Village start-line and head to the Crab Trap and back for the Walk/Run 5K, while the 10K Run continues further down the beach to Pompano Joe’s and back.

The Kid’s Fun Run is a new event this year taking place on the Village property at 9:15 a.m. The 5K/10K is open to all ages, and the Kid’s Fun Run is open to children ages kindergarten through fifth grade. Entry fee is $10.

Immediately following all races, results will be announced and awards will be given out. Special awards are presented for Male and Female Overall, Masters, and Grand Masters winners in each age group. All results will be posted at

Hangout at the Village Pavilion after the race for food, exhibits, and door prize giveaways.

The proceeds from these events are used to support water projects in North Africa, as well as Village’s AWANA program for children Preschool through fifth grade.

The registration fee is $30 through April 13, or $35 on the day of the event. Register online at, in person at the church on Sunday mornings, or in the church office from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday–Thursday.

Late registration and packet pick up will be from 4-7 p.m. April 13 and 6:30-7:30 a.m. April 14 in the Village Fellowship Hall, Building 6.
