School Supplies Drive
Be on the lookout for donation boxes July 9 through Aug. 7 at the Destin Library and also at City Hall, 4200 Indian Bayou Trail, for the 2018 School Supplies Drive. Summer Food Service Program
Free nutritionally balanced breakfasts and lunches will be provided to all children 18 and younger during summer vacation through Aug. 3. Hours are 7-7:45 a.m. and 11 a.m. to noon at Destin Elementary School. For more information, visit SummerFoodFlorida.org.

Fresh Foodies Class

Guided Bird Walk
Topsail Hill Preserve State Park and the Audubon Society host a guided bird walk from 8:15-10:15 a.m. July 11 at the park in Santa Rosa Beach to learn about the birds there. If time permits, explore the beach. Program is free with regular park admission.

Red, White and Bowl w/Brunch
Ronda Coon Women’s Home in Fort Walton Beach will host a fundraiser, Red, White and Bowl with Brunch, from 8-10 a.m. July 27 at Uncle Buck’s Fish Bowl and Grill, 4251 Legendary Drive in Destin. In an effort to provide students with the necessary resources to be successful while attending NWFSC, the Feed-A-Raider food pantry initiative was created to address the issue of food shortages faced by many college students. The Food Pantry is open, and able to provide services to currently enrolled students. Non-perishable food donations and personal care items are now being accepted. Call 729-6649.
Food For Thought
Food For Thought Outreach is rolling out its seventh annual summer program. Providing hungry children and families with easy-to-prepare foods is a year round responsibility. Students in our community will miss an average of 110 meals over the summer break from school and help is needed to feed more than 350 families this summer. Tai Chi Class

The Destin Library’s Code Club for children in fifth through eighth grades will be divided into two sections, web design and game design. Grand Boulevard Farmers’ Market
The market will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday in Grand Park in Miramar Beach between Cantina Laredo and Tommy Bahama’s.
