DESTIN — Five guns were reported stolen Monday following 15 car burglaries in Destin and Crystal Beach over the weekend.

Six vehicles were burglarized at Sea Glass Apartments on Commons Drive West in Destin, according to Michele Nicholson, spokeswoman for the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office. The two main items stolen from Sea Glass were a cash safe and a gun. One of the vehicles, a blue 2016 GMC Terrain, was also stolen.

Three vehicles were burglarized at Venue Emerald Coast Apartments and The Preserve at Henderson Beach Apartments, both also on Commons Drive West.

Nicholson said four more guns were stolen from two locations in Crystal Beach. Two were stolen from Destiny East on Tranquility Lane where two vehicle burglaries occurred. Another two firearms were stolen from Woodward Street where four vehicles were burglarized.

All of the vehicles were left unlocked by the owners, according to Nicholson. She said there are indications that all of the burglaries are related.
