Health officials are warning swimmers to be aware of water quality at five Okaloosa County beaches.
The beaches are part of the county Health Department's weekly testing regimen, which looks for the presence of potentially harmful bacteria.
The beaches in question are Clement E. Taylor Park, Lincoln Park, Liza Jackson Park, Marler Park and Poquito Park. All rated a "poor" in test results.
One beach registered a "moderate" - Garnier's Park. Earning a score of "good" were Wayside Park, Emerald Promenade and James Lee Park.
The weekly tests look for the presence of bacteria that, in sufficient concentrations, could make people sick.
