Fall Flair Arts and Craft Show
The Destin United Methodist Women will host the 10th Annual Fall Flair from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 7 and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 8 at the Destin Life Center at Destin United Methodist Church, 200 Beach Drive. More than 60 artists, crafters, homemade food vendors, direct sales representatives and others will be at the arts and crafts show. All proceeds go to support the Destin UMC missions.
Grief Support Group
The Destin United Methodist Church sponsored Stephen Ministers are forming a Grief Group for all those who have experienced a loss. The group will meet for six consecutive weeks, beginning at 1 p.m. Sept. 13 in the Destin Life Center. The attempt to return to the routines of one’s life after facing a significant loss is no small challenge. The group will recognize the need to grieve and the need to slow down and take it easy. Our normal has been taken away from us and our new normal is both frightening and foreboding. Fort Walton Beach Aglow and Community Lighthouse will meet at 9:30 a.m. Sept. 13 at Marina Bay Resort, 80 Miracle Strip Parkway in Fort Walton Beach. The speaker will be Janet German, called by God as a strong and accurate prophetic voice to the nations. She carries a “NOW” breakthrough anointing that shifts and releases you into divine purpose and victory. Her distinct prophetic word will move you to the edge of your seat and onto your feet as the Holy Spirit manifests God’s power and glory.
Women of Destiny
The women’s ministry at Destiny Worship Center, Women of Destiny, will host its Fall Event 2018 from 5:30-9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14. Special guest will be Holly Wagner, an author, international speaker, and the co-pastor of Oasis Church in Los Angeles, where she has served with her husband for more than 30 years. She is also the founder of GodChicks, an organization devoted to encouraging and equipping women around the globe.

Caregiver Support Group
Grace Lutheran Church is sponsoring a Christian support group that offers prayer, networking, education, resources, and Gospel support for anyone in a caregiving role. The Flying Pig
Need a little pick me up over the mid-week hump? Grab your favorite specialty coffee or spice up your lunch routine with a savory Tex-Mex lunch box. The Flying Pig at Shoreline Church, 140 Palmetto Street in Destin, is now serving breakfast and lunch Sundays through Thursdays. Café hours are 7:30-11 a.m. for breakfast and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for lunch.
The Anchor Church, 101 First St SE in Fort Walton Beach, has a food pantry serving the public from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesdays. People 18 and over are allowed one visit per month. A valid ID is required.
