The Heritage Museum has long been a field trip destination for area schoolchildren, particularly as students study their Florida history units.
A variety of tour options are available, covering Native Americans to pioneers and historic technology.
“We even have programs about pollination using our pollinators garden,” staff member Kelli Knudsen said.
“We work with the teachers to customize the tours to fit their needs and the tours meet the Florida State Standards,” Knudsen added.
As a further help, the museum serves as a resource for students, who may make appointments to use the research library.
