Emerald Coast Hospice honored The Arc of the Emerald Coast recently with a check from the 2018 Emerald Coast Princess Ball.
Over the past four years, Emerald Coast Hospice has been the top sponsor of The Arc of the Emerald Coast event, The Emerald Coast Princess Ball, a father-daughter-style dance and dinner for girls 2-18 years of age.
The Emerald Coast Princess Ball takes place the third Friday of May. With the growth and popularity of the event, the 2018 Princess Ball was pleased to find a new home at Northwest Florida State College in Niceville. With the ability to accommodate more father-daughter couples, the generous sponsorships from Twin Cities Hospital, B-Boy Productions and Southern Belle Photography of Destin, the proceeds raised exceeded every year before.
The proceeds will go to support the Arc’s mission “From Disability to Capability.” The Arc of the Emerald Coast relies on these sponsorships and the support from the community to continue to provide the services needed to the men, women and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities they serve.
The Arc of the Emerald Coast does this through offering many services such as Adult Day Training, Supported Living, Supported Employment, Community Residential Homes, Early Intervention for children birth to age 3, an inclusive daycare at The Children’s Center and nutritional and exercise programs at their Aquatic and Educational Center.
