ResortQuest Relief Effort
ResortQuest by Wyndham Vacation Rentals will be a central drop off location for supplies for anyone who would like to donate for the victims of Hurricane Michael. Drop off times are 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily at their offices, including Okaloosa Island Collection Center, ResortQuest Okaloosa Island Office; ResortQuest Central Destin Office, 35000 Emerald Coast Parkway; and Miramar Beach Collection Center, TOPS’L Beach and Request Resort, 9011 US Hwy. 98. Some items needed are household supplies, toothpaste, toothbrushes, sanitation wipes, hand sanitizer, shampoo, toilet paper, canned food. protein bars, water, diapers, Baby Wipes, clothes and blankets/bedding.

Join experienced Birder Malcolm Swan and identify migrants, herons and marsh birds at Veterans Park on Okaloosa Island Oct. 20. Knights of Columbus Golf Tournament
The Emerald Coast Knights of Columbus Golf Tournament will be held Oct. 27 at Emerald Bay Golf Club in Destin. Format is a four-man scramble with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. Players sign in from 7:15-8:15 a.m. Entry fee is $120/person and $400/foursome with foursome price increasing to $480 after Oct. 15. French Kande Trunk Show
Today’s Boutique will host a trunk show featuring French Kande Jewelry from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 26 and 27 at 4433 Commons Drive E #E103 in destin. This trunk show will unveil the 2018 Fall Chatelet Collection which features several new styles with Swarovski crystals, bezels, and a new Night Tide stone mix made with garnet, hematite and onyx. Pink Walk Fundraiser
Fore Her will hold a fundraiser, The Pink Walk, from 12-3 p.m. Nov. 4 at Destin Commons for its mission of assisting local breast cancer patients. The half-mile walk and after party will feature a DJ and photo booth, sweet treats, activities for children, an aerobics class and inspirational words from local news channel WJHG’s Jessica Foster. The Destin Library will host a hands-on free Family History workshop, Who Is in Your Family Tree?, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Nov. 8 in the library’s computer lab. Holiday Craft Show
The City of Destin’s 12th Annual Holiday Craft Show will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 16 and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 17 at the Destin Com-munity Center. There will be hand-crafted jewelry, woodcarvings, watercolor paintings, and much more from more than 50 vendors. Christmas Tree Lighting
The 32nd annual Christmas Tree Lighting, hosted by the City of Destin, will be held at the Destin Community Center at 6 p.m. Nov. 29. This will be an outdoor event for the entire family with a visit from Santa Claus, entertainment from local choruses, musical groups, etc. with refreshments served after the lighting of the tree.
