Local interior designer Amy Kelly has announced the launch of Kelly Collective Interiors this November.
After years of working alongside her friend, business partner and mentor Janet Taylor of Taylor and Kelly Interiors, Kelly has stepped up and taken over the role of owner and lead designer of Taylor & Kelly Interiors, changing the name to Kelly Collective Interiors to reflect the transition.
To celebrate the beginning of her own company, Kelly is hosting a ribbon cutting and meet and greet at one of her favorite local design showrooms to collaborate with, Oasis Rugs & Pearl Home in Miramar Beach, from 4-6 p.m. Nov. 7. The Walton Area Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon cutting at 4 p.m.
“This will be great opportunity for design, construction and real estate professionals to mingle, grab a drink, bite to eat, explore local talent, and learn about my interior design business,” Kelly said.
Kelly initially began working with Taylor more than eight years ago as her design assistant. As Kelly’s talents grew, Taylor promoted Kelly as a business partner.
“The timing of our transition could not have come together more perfectly,” Kelly said. “Janet has been longing to spend more quality time with her family for awhile now, so with her retirement and the acquisition of my new studio space, the transition came naturally to us and our clients. I will forever be thankful for Janet's continued support.”
One of Taylor and Kelly’s projects was recently featured in “Some Like It Hot: Inspiring Spaces by Florida’s Hottest Designers.” Kelly will be signing copies of the book, and it will be available for purchase during the event.
“I’m honored to be featured with some of the most incredible and talented Florida-based designers in ‘Some Like It Hot,’” Kelly said. “It’s a beautiful book that showcases some of the most incredible spaces in the state.”
In addition to the book signing, guests can also expect giveaways from artists such as Vicki Denaburg and Drift with Anne, who are some of Kelly’s most-trusted sources. Additional giveaways have been donated by the Seaside Repertory Theatre and Oasis Rug & Home.
Kelly’s studio space will open in 2019. For more information about her new business, “Some Like It Hot” and the celebration, visit www.kellycollectiveinteriors.com.
