Destin-based Mission Love Seeds is asking for your help … again.

Children in Panama City have already had a hurricane, no home and no school. Those who attended Oscar Patterson Elementary now attend Parker Elementary and Mission is giving them a Christmas party Dec. 19. Pizzas for all 500 students are being donated by Papa John's and still needed is juice, cookies/cupcakes, etc. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be there to join the fun.

"There are so many generous people that are doing everything in their power to ensure that our students at Parker/Patterson Elementary School will have the best Christmas possible,” Principal Chris Coan told The Log. “We are grateful for the generosity of the community and the work of organizations like Mission Love Seeds and many other churches and community members who give our students everything and more."

MLS needs 500 bicycles, 500 helmets and 500 toys for ages Pre-K to fifth grade.

Here is a breakdown of the number of children:

Pre-K – 11 girls, 18 boys

Kindergarten – 41 girls, 27 boys

First grade – 37 girls, 43 boys

Second grade – 38 girls, 49 boys

Third grade – 49 girls, 39 boys

Fourth grade – 37 girls, 51 boys

Fifth grade – 25 girls, 33 boys

Keep checking on Facebook to find out drop off locations, but items can always be taken to 55 Country Club Drive E in Destin. The fire department on Airport Road and Lisa Snuggs Real Estate Group on Main Street in Destin will also accept donations.

The Daily News building at 2 Eglin Parkway NE in Fort Walton Beach is also a drop-off location for donations.

You can also visit the Walmart Registry at https://www.walmart.com/lists/view-events-registry-items?id=ed625721-bc8e-47a6-8a60-9f35236cb1cc to purchase bikes and helmets. They will be shipped directly to the school.

If you just can't get to the shopping, not to worry. Barbi Carroll, founder of Mission Love Seeds, and her volunteers love to shop and will be glad to do it for you. Just make a donation by check at the above address or visit www.missionloveseeds.org/blog/donate/ to give by credit card. Remember, no donation is too small — and no donation is too large, either.

And volunteers will be needed, too. To be a part of this party, or other work MLS is doing in helping restore homes, call Carroll at 850-865-1055. Information will be updated on Mission Love Seeds Charity on Facebook.

MLS made it to Immokalee last year for Christmas — with bikes, toys and more. It is closer to home now, so please help make a good Christmas for 500 children in Panama City.

As Carroll always says "Let's roll."
