DESTIN — A strange cloud formation over the Gulf of Mexico captured the attention of many people Tuesday.
Only it wasn’t a cloud at all. An Air Force fighter pilot flying in a large figure-eight over the Gulf near Destin created the popular pattern.
The contrails were so well defined the National Weather Service in Tallahassee spotted them on its satellite.
Pete DeNoble, a snowbird from of Oshawa, Ontario captured the contrails from his Miramar Beach condo and sent us a photo from his balcony.
