Contractors Connect, the networking event for contractors along the Emerald Coast, will host its next meetup from 5:30-7:30 p.m. May 9 at AJ’s on the Destin harbor. This month’s meetup will be presented in partnership with the Building Industry Association of Okaloosa & Walton Counties. The cost to attend is $10 and includes one free draft beer, light appetizers, and the opportunity to win in multiple giveaways. Visit www.contractors-connect.com to purchase tickets.
At the meetup, contractors from along the Emerald Coast can join together and connect with representatives from the organization to learn more about local home and flood insurance.
“We’re on a mission to make insurance easy,” Natalie Harris, Harris Insurance business development director, said. “We have access to the largest selection of markets in Northwest Florida which allows us to shop, compare, and present you with your best options for personal and business insurance needs.”
The featured contractor for the May event is JP Carducci, Inc. Construction Services of Fort Walton Beach. JP Carducci, Inc., is a full service construction company experienced in custom home building, kitchen and bathroom remodels and more.
“We do everything from new home projects to small ‘honey do's,’” owner, Jason Carducci, said. “We are looking forward to connecting with new contractors in the area at the event.”
The May meetup will benefit the Fort Walton Beach Women’s Club’s Project S3, an effort that aims to help homeless students by making them safe, secure and successful. There are currently more than 1,000 students in Okaloosa County who qualify as homeless. The Fort Walton Beach Woman’s Club is collecting supplies and funds for students at four schools: Elliott Point Elementary School, Pryor Middle School, Shalimar Elementary School and Wright Elementary School. Attendees to the May meetup are asked to bring donations of deodorant, shampoo, soap, sanitary wipes, toothbrushes, and/or toothpaste.
