The recalled buns were distributed to stores including Walmart, Publix and Target in 18 states, including Florida.
A company that makes hot dog and hamburger buns for major grocers — including Walmart, Publix and Target — has announced a recall for buns and other bakery items.
Flowers Foods cited “the potential presence of small pieces of hard plastic that may have been introduced during production,” in announcing the recall Tuesday. The plastic could cause a choking hazard.
The buns were distributed in 18 states, including Florida. No injuries have been reported, the company said.
Flowers published a list of UPC codes and Best By Dates so that customers can identify the recalled baked goods.
