FORT WALTON BEACH — Dogs of all breeds and their owners are invited to the inaugural Charity Dog Festival for Small Paws Rescue fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 29 at Liza Jackson Dog Park, 338 Miracle Strip Parkway in Fort Walton Beach.

A meet-and-greet, canine football costume contest, a relay race for two-person and four-person teams in Liza Jackson’s large off-leash area, a dog style musical chairs contest, a live auction fundraiser, and a New York Deli style lunch provided by Chef Joe Cartenuto and Food For You fill the afternoon.

Music provided by Air Force vet Lee Smith, aka DJ Unconventional.

Admission of $15 for adults and $12 for children under 12, includes lunch and can be purchased on-site or online at Cash and major credit cards will be accepted for registration and auction winning bids. No checks please. All proceeds benefit Small Paws Rescue to pay for medical and rescue expenses for their pups.
