Thanks to the community’s generosity, the 18th annual Sacred Heart Charity Golf Classic recently raised more than $138,000 to benefit Ascension Sacred Heart Emerald Coast.
The golf tournament attracted 112 golfers to the Burnt Pine Golf Club for the event.
Since its inception, the fundraising tournament has raised more than $3 million dollars for Ascension Sacred Heart’s hospital in Miramar Beach to ensure that the community has access to high quality, compassionate healthcare close to home. Proceeds from this year’s event will support the hospital’s Spine Center.
The event’s presenting sponsors were Howard Group, Silver Sands Outlets, Grand Boulevard, and St Joe Community Foundation. Other sponsors were Capitol Containers, Jim and Tammy Pierce, Porsche of Destin, Insurance Zone, South Walton Utilities, Rotolo Consultants Inc., John Martin 30/Berkshire Hathaway. This year’s Charity Golf Classic Committee was chaired by Jon Vice and Cory Fosdyck.
