NICEVILLE — Okaloosa Public Arts has announced it has established a scholarship for art students.


The newly created scholarship will total $24,000 to be awarded to visual arts students at Northwest Florida State College, according to a press release from Okaloosa Public Arts.


The designated funds for Northwest Florida State College Foundation have to be held, managed and used by the foundation for the benefit of scholarships at the college.


The Okaloosa Public Arts Scholarship will support to students taking visual arts courses based on talent and who are serious about the arts.


Students pursuing other art programs such as dance, art history and curatorial services are also encouraged to apply, with preference to visual arts students.


Okaloosa Public Arts is an organization of Okaloosa County artists and other residents who are committed to providing exceptional and meaningful art in our public spaces through private donations.
