DESTIN — A roofer who died after falling from the top of a 16-story condo in Destin Saturday has been identified as 38-year old Robert Lafayette of Crestview.

The 38-year old victim was part of a roofing crew working on top of Silver Shells condominiums at 15300 Emerald Coast Parkway.


The investigation continues.


The call history report, which includes preliminary information about the initial conversations with dispatchers, indicates that the fall may have been accidental since the victim still had equipment attached to him.


The incident happened just before 2 p.m. on Saturday.
