The state’s data on the number of active COVID-19 cases has been released nearly an hour after the normal posting time.

According to the new data, the number of new Northwest Florida cases continues to increase slowly.
— Okaloosa climbed overnight from, 14 to 16.
— Walton climbed from 10 to 12.
— Santa Rosa increased from 6 to 7.
— Bay County has 2 more confirmed cases for a total of 3.
Restrictions have been placed on activity across the panhandle, but officials have stopped short of issuing a lockdown.
Roads are emptier, many workers are telecommuting and most gathering places, including parks and any type of recreation or workout facility, have been closed.
The total number of confirmed cases in Florida according to the Florida Department of Health is 1,682 and two more deaths have been reported since Tuesday night, bringing the total to 22.
