Sandra Brown, age 87, passed away on March 5, 2023. Young at heart, Sandra made an impression on all those who were fortunate to know her. As a young girl, Sandra grew up on a humble farm in Ohio doing farm work with her siblings and helping her father and mother with whatever needed to be done. That rural town in Ohio is where she met the love of her life, Bobby Joe Brown. As the wife of a pastor, she was an instrumental part in Brother Bob’s service to the Lord over the years. She supported him and often joined him on his travels around the world as they spread God’s word and love.
She loved going to local high school football and basketball games with Bob and her daughter, Sara. In later years, Sandra enjoyed china painting, reading, and she never met a puzzle she couldn’t put together in record time. She loved taking her grandchildren to the zoo and spending time with her great-grandchildren. She enjoyed visiting her friends, daydreaming, and being with family. As her health declined, she had a devoted caregiver, Nilda Gonzalez, who became a dear friend to her and her family. Sandra fervently believed in God’s word, cheering you on and praying for you if you were struggling.
Sandra is predeceased by her husband, Bob. She is survived by her four children; Sara Brown, Gina Ellis (Tim); Mike Brown (Vicki); Shari Rahmes (Scott); grandchildren, Christopher, Amanda, and Stephen Brown, Jessica Brown O’Malley, Timothy Ellis, Mathew, Michael, and David Rahmes and nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters and one brother.
A funeral service will take place on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Living Word Church in Navarre. The family will receive friends one hour prior. Interment to follow at Beal Memorial Cemetery. Expressions of love and sympathy may be placed and viewed online at www.emeraldcoastfuneralhome.com
