Don Edwards cracked out five hits to lead Emerald Coast Chiropractic in a 27-21 win over 2 Brothers Remodeling in the Coed Division I Softball League at Morgan Sports Center in Destin.

Edwards slapped two home runs and three singles for four RBIs.

2 Brothers took an early 11-7 lead in the first two innings. Chiropractic evened the score in the third and then took the lead in the fourth, 14-11.

In the top of the fifth, Chiropractic scored seven runs for a 21-11 lead. 2 Brother battled back scoring the 10-run limit in the bottom half to tie the game at 21-21.

With time running out in the top of the sixth Chiropractic picked up six runs and then held 2 Brothers scoreless in the bottom half.

Kathy Whidden connected for five singles for Chiropractic and Shawn Wood tripled, hit two doubles and a single for two RBIs. Todd Preston and Lee Pardue each hit home runs.

Joe Feltner led 2 Brothers with a home run and four singles for six RBIs. Jen Bazylak tripled, doubled and singled for three RBIs, and Evelyn Hardin hit three singles for an RBI.


Coastal Beach Service 31, TayGray 30

Coastal Beach Service took an early 14-9 lead in the first two innings. In the third, TayGray got the advantage 18-15, and by the end of the fourth the game was deadlocked at 23-23.

In the fifth, Coastal pulled ahead with six runs while TayGray scored two.

In the sixth, Coastal put up two runs and then held TayGray to five for the win.

Stuart Vanhouten belted three homers, a double and a single for five RBIs to lead Coastal. Nate Decker connected for a triple, double and three singles for five RBIs, and Steffani Saddler hit three singles for two RBIs. Evan Gary also hit two home runs.

Jason Little knocked in seven RBIs for TayGray on two homers and two singles. Austin Jessup homered and connected for three doubles for seven RBIs, and Tiffany Werner doubled for three RBIs. Josh Snyder and Tommy Pitroff each hit home runs.


Island Wings 23, Ace in the Hole 17

At the end of three innings, Island Wings led 8-5 and 13-9 by the end of five.

In the top of the sixth, Island Wings exploded for nine runs and then added one more in the seventh.

Jen Bazylak belted two triples and two singles for an RBI for Island Wings. Chris Edmonsond tripled, doubled and hit two singles for an RBI, and Chris Rubino tripled, doubled and singled for five RBIs. Davey Bazylak smacked a home run.

Justin Abdo hit one out of the park plus an inside the park home run along with a single for RBIs. Dakota Smith also hit two homers, one inside the park, and a single for two RBIs. Kristin Goergen doubled and singled for two RBIs, and Ron Norville homered.


HarborWalk Marina 20, The Track 8

After three innings, HarborWalk led 7-4. In the top of the fourth, HarborWalk rallied the bats and scored the 10-run limit. They picked up three more in the fifth for a run-ruling on the game.

Zack Raya led HarborWalk with a triple, two doubles and a single for four RBIs. Missy Welborn tripled and hit three singles for three RBIs, and Steven Kertz hit three singles for three RBIs. Brian Martinez clobbered two home runs.

Kristen Myers hit three singles for an RBI for The Track. Bobby Griffith homer and a double for an RBI, and Rita Cummins doubled and singled for an RBI. Bobby Griffith homered.
