Beth Henry connected for two hits to lead Emerald Coast Chiropractic in a 12-9 win over Island Wings in the Coed Division II Softball League at Morgan Sports Center Destin.

Henry ripped a double and a single for an RBI in the win.

Island Wings took the early 5-2 lead in the first inning. In the second, Chiropractic edged ahead with four runs. At the end of three innings, the game was deadlocked at 7-7.

In the bottom of the fifth, Chiropractic pulled ahead with four runs. In the sixth, each team scored one run and then Island Wings picked up one last run in the seventh.

Todd Preston and Teresa Imdieke each hit two singles for Chiropractic while Lee Pardue slapped a home run.

Chris Edmonsond clobbered a grand slam and a double for four RBIs for Island Wings. Chris Rubino doubled and hit two singles for an RBI, and Courtney Stevens hit two singles. Todd Schrag belted a home run.


Ace in the Hole 42, The Track 18

At the end of three innings, the game was close with Ace in the Hole up 17-16.

In the fourth inning, Ace exploded for nine runs and then held The Track two one run for the lead.

With time running out in the fifth and each team allowed to score as many runs as possible. Ace in the Hole scored 16 runs in the top. The Track could only muster one in the bottom half.

Ron Norville was the big stick for Ace in the Hole with two home runs, one triple, one double and two singles for six RBIs. Dakota Smith hit two inside the park home runs, a double and three singles for seven RBIs, and Milly Santiago doubled and hit four singles for three RBIs.

Kristen Myers hit two doubles and a single for an RBI for The Track. Linda Griffith doubled and hit two singles for three RBIs, and Danny Adkins doubled and singled for three RBIs.
