Kona Brew Crew posted two victories on the softball diamond, with a 25-13 win over Fender’s Collision and a 23-16 win over Navigators and in the Coed II Softball Division at Morgan Sports Center in Destin.
In the win over Fender’s, Kona started strong scoring the 10-run limit in the first inning. Kona went on to add two runs in the second, eight in the third and five in the fifth.
Fender’s had their biggest inning in the fourth with seven runs.
Brad Desgranges led Kona with a homer, double and a single. David Beard doubled and singled and Lynda Tanner hit two singles.
Paige Ogden was tops for Fender’s with a double and three singles. Cody Knowles and Sami Unterseh each hit a double and two singles. Christian Manthey and Mike Ogden each belted a home run.
In the game with Navigator’s, Kona came from behind to win.
Navigator’s took an early 10-4 lead in the first two innings.
In the bottom of the third, Kona stepped into the driver’s seat, scoring the 10-run limit. Kona finished off the game with one in the fourth and then rallied in the fifth with eight runs.
Michael Ogden led Kona with a home run, triple, double and a single. Sami Unterseh connected for four singles and Michelle Eubanks hit three singles.
Ryan Marcell led Navigators with a homer and two singles. J.R. Gross and Ed Arvizu each doubled and hit two singles.
