Jason Little cranked out two home runs to lead Ace in the Hole in a 23-22 victory over Philip Cryar Marine Works in the Coed Division I Softball League at Morgan Sports Center.

Marine Works took an early 12-4 lead in the first three innings. In the fourth, Marine Works picked up one more run before Ace went on a rampage scoring the 10-run limit.

In the fifth, Marine Works scored four and Ace answered with six run to stay on top.

With time running out in the top of the sixth, Marine Works scored five to take the lead, 22-20. Ace scored the three runs needed in the bottom half for the win.

In addition to Little’s homer and grand slam for Ace, Andy Collins tripled and hit two singles for three RBIs. Casey Leirer doubled and singled for an RBI and Robbie Overly singled.

Danny Owens led Marine Works with two doubles and a single for four RBIs. Mollie Densley hit two singles and Ryan Cogan tripled and singled for an RBI.

 

Prime’d 18, Hancock Whitney Bank 17

Prime’d took a 9-4 lead in the second inning and never looked back. By the end of four, Prime’d led 13-9.

Hancock closed it down to a one-run game in the sixth. Then both teams put up four runs in the seventh with Prime’d getting the win.

Michael Haynes was tops for Prime’d with two home runs and two singles for four RBIs. Travis Carroll homered, hit two doubles and a single for two RBIs, and Jen Phillips doubled and singled for an RBI. Justin Webb and Tyler Stuhlhut each hit a home run.

Lauren Barnhill led Hancock with four singles for three RBIs. Todd Schrag doubled and hit two singles for three RBIs and Chris Edmondson doubled and hit two singles.

 

Kona Brew Crew 3, Emerald Coast Chiropractic 2

Both teams were scoreless until the fourth inning, when they each scored two runs.

In the top of the fifth, Kona picked up one more run and then held on for the win.

Christian Manthey was top batter for Kona with a double and a single for an RBI. Clarence Wells and Madison Phillips each hit two singles.

Todd Preston doubled and singled for two RBIs for Chiropractic, while Tom Bassillo hit two singles and Matt Herbermann doubled.

 

HarborWalk Marina 20, Ace in the Hole 8

HarborWalk jumped out to an 8-1 lead in the first two innings and led 11-2 at the end of three.

In the fourth, HarborWalk scored eight runs for a 19-5 advantage.

Ace picked up three more runs to say alive, but not for long. HarborWalk scored the one run needed in the bottom half for a run-ruling on the game.

Travis Holland belted an inside the park home run, a triple and a double for two RBIs. Chris Poole tripled, doubled and singled for two RBIs, Brian Martinez hit three singles for an RBI, and Missy Welborn tripled for two RBIs.

Jason Little led Ace with a homer and two singles for two RBIs. Andy Collins ripped an inside the park homer, a double and a single for an RBI. Ron Norville doubled and hit two singles for an RBI and Milly Santiago tripled for two RBIs.
