New clinic offers alternative ways to wellness

Patients seeking alternatives for obtaining and maintaining a healthier lifestyle can visit a new integrative medicine and wellness clinic.

Manifest Mind Body Medicine, which opened on Wednesday, is a holistic healing and integrative medicine clinic designed to focus on the wellbeing of the body, mind and spirit of a person, according to Medical Director Dr. Lori Poelstra.

“We are helping and empowering people to take control of their lives and have the healthiest, happiest and most fulfilled life possible”, said Poelstra.

The clinic will also offer a variety of one-on-one counseling sessions, educational worships, group classes and personalized healing services.

“Our two main focuses are our one-on-one counseling and specific workshops to learn basic ayurveda and primordial sound meditation,” she said.

The clinic integrates ancient time-tested principles and techniques that are proven through research and science.

“We want to work together with primary doctors. It’s a complimentary service to help take control of their (patients) lives.” Poelstra said.

Personal healing services include acupuncture, gong sound therapy, chakra quartz bowl vibrational/ sound healing and marma therapy.

“Everyone has the power within themselves to be happy. We are just trying to help them.” Poelstra said.
