Local public relations professionals win image awards

The Northwest Florida Coast Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) recently announced its 2017 Image Award recipients. Celebrating the “Art of Innovation,” Image Awards entries were judged by APR-certified public relations professionals from around the state. Recipients of these prestigious awards demonstrated the very best examples of public relations research, planning implementation, innovation and design.

“What a great accomplishment to everyone who entered and won this year,” said Megan Harrison, president for the Northwest Florida Coast Chapter. “We are also very grateful to all of our sponsors, including Justin Gaffrey Gallery, The Northwest Florida Ballet, White-Wilson Medical Center and our host, Trebeache.”

The 2017 FPRA Image Award winners are:

DIVISION A — Category 1 Community Relations Award of Distinction — Proffitt PR for the Century 21 Blue Marlin Realty 4th Annual Charity Golf Tournament

DIVISION A — Category 1 Promotional Marketing

Award of Distinction – Proffitt PR for the Style by Kimberly cross promotion with Silver Sands Premium Outlets

DIVISION A — Category 9 Online Audience Engagement

An Award of Distinction — Tracy Louthain and Jeannie Dailey for the Newman Daily Resort Properties Blogger Retreat

2017 Judges Award — Justin Gaffrey, Amanda Kaiser and Brian Wood for the Justin Gaffrey Gallery Promotional Marketing Campaign

All entrants in the local Image Awards competition are eligible to enter and compete in the State Golden Image Awards. The deadline for entry is May 30 and the award ceremony will be at FPRA’s 79th Annual Conference, Aug. 6-9 at the Ritz Carlton in Orlando, Fla.

The Northwest Florida Coast Chapter also recognized several outstanding businesses and individuals who embody the FPRA’s principals. These recipients demonstrate outstanding communication skills and are raising the bar through their communications strategies and tactics, resulting in a positive impact on the community. They are leaders who inspire others and who advance communications in the community. The 2017 winners are:
