Legendary Marine in Destin hosted a dual chamber business after hours event on Thursday evening.

The Destin Chamber of Commerce and Walton Area Chamber of Commerce joined forces to meet for cocktails, appetizers and mingling in Legendary Marine’s showroom.

Shane Moody, president and CEO of the Destin Chamber, said that having a dual chamber event helped business owners network.

“This dual chamber meeting exposes our business and chamber members to people they may not otherwise have had the opportunity to meet,” said Moody. “It’s a great way to expand local businesses and our local economy.”

People buzzed around the showroom wearing name tags, chatting, and meeting other local business owners and representatives.

The group of about 300 people traveled from the showroom to the Legendary Yacht Club where door prize winners were announced.

“When you can have dual chamber activities, it gives you that many more people to network with,” said Walton Area Chamber member Ann Kief. “It’s just a great opportunity to meet more people and build relationships.”
