Mary Silla Skinner returns to Panhandle and Coldwell Banker United, Realtors
Coldwell Banker United, Realtors Gulf Coast Region celebrates the return of Mary Silla Skinner as managing broker of the Destin area residential sales offices.
Five years, a marriage and a baby find Skinner back at the helm of the Coldwell Banker office in Destin. Following her departure from Destin in 2007, Mary took a position at the company’s South Park Office in Charlotte, N.C. The declining economic conditions made it necessary for the company to consolidate locations and the office was closed in 2009.
The newly married real estate professional decided to leave the business and move home to Baton Rouge, La. Along with her husband, Jim, she joined the family business and became the general manager of the family’s event management/banquet facilities company. Soon after, a small packaged arrived at the Skinner household.
The couple welcomed Ava Skinner to the family in August 2011. Skinner’s new career and family life were thriving, when this past September her former broker, Denis McKinnon, president/COO, CBUR Gulf Coast, reached out to her. He had just accepted the resignation of the Destin office manager who was leaving to pursue real estate opportunities in another part of the state. So, as the stars aligned perfectly, she was offered her old position and graciously accepted. Having come full circle, the Skinner’s are once again happily living and working in Destin.
