Okaloosa County Tax Collector Ben Anderson encourages property owners to take advantage of the four percent early payment discount when paying their property taxes in November. Tax bills will go out on Oct. 30 and can be paid as early as Nov. 1.

“We will send approximately 121,853 bills for accounts, including notices for tangible personal property,” Anderson said. “Those bills represent $191,623,084.23 in collections. The values are based on the Property Appraiser’s assessments as of January 1, 2012. I encourage property owners to utilize the discounts in place for November payments.”

The discounts for early payments are as follows: • Four percent in November • Three percent in December • Two percent in January • One percent in February
