Okaloosa Gas District honors 2012 award winners

The Okaloosa Gas District CEO, Jose Lozano, recently announced to the Board of Directors and employees of the district the award winners at the 2012 Awards Banquet.

“The award winners represent the best of the District in 2012 and earned these honors by standing out in a group of very impressive contenders,” said Lozano.

Chris Gibson of the Operations Department is the District Employee of the Year. He is a lead installation technician for the District. His performance in completing customer equipment installations across the District consistently received outstanding ratings. The Employee of the Year is the top honor for District employees.

The District’s CEO Award was presented to Glenn Howze of the Operations Department, the District’s Superintendent of Service and Installation. The nominations for this special award are submitted by the Okaloosa Gas Executive Team based on the nominee’s contributions to the District’s mission.

Jackie Matichuk received the Community Service Award for her contribution to the Okaloosa Gas American Heart Association team. In addition, she represented the District as the Loaned Executive for the United Way Campaign. Matichuk is an executive assistant to the vice president of Corporate Services.
