Hammock Bay’s real estate ambassador

World Impact Real Estate has welcomed another new member to the team — Dwight Atchley.
Armed with a Bachelor of Science degree and 12 years of teaching/coaching experience in Tulsa, Okla., Atchley, his wife Carol, and daughter, Heather, moved to Destin in 1982. His high school football coach labeled him a “jack of all trades” for his ability to play many positions at a high level.
That trait has followed him throughout his business career. Today’s real estate environment requires constant monitoring of the ever-changing conditions affecting the market. His varied experiences, including ownership of two area retail businesses, one having doubled its sales in five years, the other achieving a 30 percent increase in one year, have taught him to be ready to make adjustments to inventory levels and buying habits.
This ability to interpret today’s market is an absolute necessity in order to enable clients to make an informed decision in a timely manner. As real estate professionals in these volatile times, we don’t “make” the market, but we must “interpret the market” quickly and accurately in order serve our clients as true professionals.
In his spare time, Atchley loves playing all sports with his grandson, Ian, biking, and directing his church choir. He and his wife moved to Hammock Bay in Freeport in December 2012.
Most days he just wants to hang around the house and not venture too far south toward Destin where the world meets the Emerald Coast. He had been thinking about how he could get his friends and real estate clients to come up for a visit. There's nothing like getting to pick your own neighbors.
As he traveled down U.S. 331 toward U.S. 98, he looked to his right and there it was — the perfect solution. Who wouldn't want to jump in the little beauty of a golf cart and go exploring to see all that Hammock Bay has to offer.
Brilliant, right? Well, his wife is not totally convinced. In fact, the words “I told you so” are already forming in her mouth. But time will tell. Give Atchley a call at 855-7720 and let him give you a spin around Hammock Bay, and who knows, you may just find the home of your dreams.
Hammock Bay is two miles west of Freeport on Hwy. 20. The complex features miles of bike paths and nature trails and hosts the Freeport Regional Sports complex. It has two large swimming pools, a 4000 sq. ft. workout facility, tennis courts, basketball court, and clubhouse complete with movie theater and kitchen facilities. All this in a quiet, secluded, well-manicured environment and still only 15-20 minutes from the emerald green waters of the Gulf Coast.
