Apricot Lane fashion boutique to open in Panama City

Special to The Log

Apricot Lane Boutique will quickly move to the forefront of chic boutiques in the Panama City area. Apricot Lane will feature celebrity-inspired fashions and designer labels and will carry a collection of branded fashion apparel, jewelry, handbags, and accessories to create the hottest looks — for an affordable price! With trend-setting lines seen on the pages of national magazines and on dozens of celebrities, the boutique will be the leading destination for customers who appreciate quality and fashion forward designs.

The store will open its doors in November 2013 and will be located in the Town Center on Bluefish Drive. Apricot Lane will run various promotions to entice shoppers to comecheck out the store!

This is the second Apricot Lane location for this husband and wife team, Debbie and Jerry Johnson. These parents to five children are looking forward to the next step in this big adventure.

“Family is important and we are excited about expanding this new, modern version of the family business with the hopes that our children will follow in our footsteps,” said Jerry.

“Our first location in Destin has been a huge hit with shoppers,” said Debbie. “In true boutique fashion, Apricot Lane pridesitself on featuring a limited number of each item in stock which allows our guests to create looks that are unique to them, not something they will see on lots of other women. We look forward to reacting instantly to the emerging trends we see and the requests we receive from customers. That’s what the boutique experience is all about.”

Debbie retired as a major with 24 years of active federal service with the Alabama Army National Guard and has enjoyed spearheading this new venture when they opened their first store last November. Jerry is the human resource manager with Indyne located at Eglin AFB and still serves as a lieutenant colonel in the Alabama Army National Guard with 24 plus years of service. Jerry has been deployed to both Iraq and Afghanistan.

When Debbie was looking to open a fun, “girlie” boutique after 24 years of wearing combat boots for a living, Apricot Lane stood out.

“After researching all of the various franchise boutique opportunities out there, Apricot Lane had exactly what we wanted to offer,” said Debbie. “Its style fit ours. We realized it was a store where I could take my daughters shopping for trendy clothes and I could find something that fit my style too — all for an affordable price.”

“We are excited to add Apricot Lane Boutique to our fashionable mix of retail at Pier Park,” said Brent Gardner, general manager, Pier Park. “This new addition will complement our great selection of stores paired with popular dining options in a beachfront setting.”
