Realtors rock the capital

It was a sea of Realtor blue in Tallahassee March 4 as nearly 1,000 Florida Realtors members wearing blue T-shirts bearing the Realtor logo gathered in the Capitol Courtyard to rally for real estate issues.
“Whether you’ve already visited your legislators or still have more meetings this afternoon, we know you’re representing us well,” said 2015 Florida Realtors President Andrew Barbar, a broker from Boca Raton. “Your time here has a profound impact on the future of your businesses, your profession and the people of Florida.”
Lt. Governor Carlos Lopez-Cantera, a Realtor from Miami, and Rep. Matt Hudson (R-Naples), who is also a Realtor, joined Barbar on the steps of the Florida Historic Capitol Museum.
“[Realtors] grow communities. We make for a strong state. We do the things necessary to make sure Florida and our communities are vibrant,” Hudson said. “That comes from your engagement, your activities in this process and your willingness to come up here to talk about your issues.”
Nearly 1,000 Realtors attended Great American Realtor Days this week to advocate for Florida Realtors’ legislative priorities.
