New development in Regatta Bay celebrates with ribbon cutting
Destin Area Chamber of Commerce staff and ambassadors gathered Oct. 12 to celebrate The Regatta Bay Preserve with a ribbon cutting.
The Regatta Bay Preserve is a major development within Regatta Bay Golf and Yacht Club, which includes 21 homes on a 16-acre parcel within the 60-acre nature preserve.
This marks the first time since 2005 that a development of this size has broken ground inside this gated community. The homes are designed and being built by Destin Custom Home Builders, an award-winning company known for its use of high-end materials and attention to detail.
“The market is ready for this type of development because it has a concept that emphasizes a community lifestyle," said project manager Lindsey Lynch. "The common green space and neighbor friendly design is the core focal point for each of the uniquely designed homes."
Architect Chris Stoyles of Archiscapes developed four concepts embracing Southern culture and design.
“Our idea was to incorporate some of the best elements we have gleaned from across the southeastern United States," Stoyles said. "The South was our inspiration, and each home is named after the region that inspired it."
Each home has been thoughtfully designed for the way people live today appealing to the families, young professionals, and empty nesters alike with prices starting at $899,000.
Regatta Bay Golf and Yacht Club is a gated community in Destin that features boating, golf, clubhouse, tennis, swimming, shopping, dining, and many social amenities. Conveniently located near the Destin Commons Mall and the new Whole Foods grocery store, residents can live, shop, dine, play, and never leave Regatta Bay.
Destin Custom Home Builders is part of Legendary, Inc., a leading developer of property in Northwest Florida for more than 25 years. All told, Legendary has built, developed, leased, and managed more than $100 million of projects comprising millions of square feet of residential, retail, restaurant, resort, hotel, and mixed-use space.
