Introducing ECAR’s 2016 LDP Class

Special to The Log
ECAR 2016 LDP Class

The Emerald Coast Association of Realtors ushered in its next group of future leaders Jan. 6. This select group of Realtors became the newest class of the ECAR Leadership Development Program.

The LDP Class of 2016 inductees are Bridget Bates, Ashley Botelho, Julie Dickerson, Lynn Gauthier, Amanda Grandy, Donna Holman, Tracy Jennett, Sherry Johnson, Susan Robinson and Kurt Sprigler.

ECAR President Cathy Alley addressed the group about the need for strong Realtor leaders and the importance of the program, “enjoy your experience … this program will truly expand your horizons and open many doors.”

Next week the LDP class travels to Tallahassee for the annual Great American Realtor Days to meet with Florida lawmakers. The event is one of many for this year-long program intended to foster individual Realtors to be able to actively participate in affecting positive and collaborative relationships on the local, state and national levels.

“I believe you have a spark of passion inside you,” said Linda Bryan, LDP chair, as she gave the incoming class an impassioned speech. “I believe you will find that spark through this program … as leaders you will use your spark to light the way and at the same time draw people to you.”

LDP is an initiative designed to identify and develop potential leaders for ECAR. The program is beneficial for Realtors who seek to enhance their leadership abilities and effectiveness within the context of Realtor associations, as well as the community at large.
