The Market Shops, located at the entrance to Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort, recently announced three new merchants have joined the recently renovated shopping center.

Affinity, meaning a strong attraction to, is a women’s boutique that is owned and operated by local Theresa Barrett. She opened her first store, Gypsea, in Grayton Beach in 1995 across from the restaurant Red Bar. With over 22 years of retail background, Barrett’s background and buying expertise is a welcome addition The Market Shops. Patrons will enjoy browsing Affinity’s variety of women’s clothing, accessories, home décor, local jewelry and art.

Back in 1978 when Ben and Jerry first dished out ice cream in their downtown Burlington, Vermont, scoop shop, it was a place where friends hung out and good vibes flowed over euphoric flavors chock full of chunks and swirls. Today, The Market Shops has the locally owned and operated scoop shop amongst its merchants. Owned by Greg Valloch, Ben & Jerry’s at The Market Shops offers 32 dip flavors, served in cups, cones or sundaes; including one gluten free option; and a pint freezer full of your favorite flavors.
