Big Kahuna's VIP Day will be held June 9 with 100 percent of proceeds to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Florida. VIP Tickets are $30 each or 4 for $110 and must be purchased in advance. Big Kahuna's season ticket holders can get tickets to the VIP event for a $10 donation. Ticket price includes admission to the water park from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Aloha Picnic Buffet from 12-2 p.m., and an opportunity to meet Ronald McDonald. Only 300 tickets are available. Spring Fling

OKALOOSA ISLAND – The Fourth Annual Little Black Dress Party will be held May 18 at the Emerald Coast Convention Center to raise money for local charities to help raise awareness and education of the importance of preventive health and early detection. Children's show

DESTIN - Come to HarborWalk Village at 6 p.m. May 18 to see "Pirate Pete and the Case of the Missing Fisherman," an interactive children's show that searches the area for Fisherman Fred. Be prepared to sing, dance, and be silly. You might even get picked to be part of the crew of Pirate Pete's ship.

Poker Run

FORT WALTON BEACH - The Blue Knights Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club presents the Deputy Skip York Memorial Emerald Coast Children's Advocacy Center Poker Run on May 18. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. at Heritage Cycles Harley Davidson, 788 North Beal Parkway. Cost is $20/rider and $25 with passenger and includes lunch and music after the ride. Family Fun Arts Fest

DESTIN – The Sixth Annual Okaloosa Arts Alliance Family Fun Fest will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 18 and 19 at HarborWalk Village. The annual event features dozens of local artisans and craft vendors, food and beverages, live music and art performances, free family activities, hands on art projects, educational animal presentations and exhibits, face painting and street performances. A silent auction will help raise funds for OAA and Okaloosa County School Poster contest entries will be on display.

Community Chorus

FORT WALTON BEACH - The Fort Walton Beach Community Chorus will present This is My Country, a musical journey across the United States, at 7:30 p.m. May 18 and 3 p.m. May 19 at the Fort Walton Beach Municipal Auditorium. Symphony Youth Orchestra

NICEVILLE - The Northwest Florida Symphony Youth Orchestra presents a Spring Concert at 3 p.m. May 19 in the Mattie Kelly Arts Center at NWFSC. The concert is free and open to the public; however donations to support the youth program are welcomed.

Benefit cruise

FORT WALTON BEACH - The sixth-annual Latin Salsa Festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. May 25 at the Fort Walton Landing Park, 139 Brooks St. The event includes ethnic foods, a variety of local and out-of-town vendors, fun activities for kids, and the sounds of live salsa music. NWF Ballet

NICEVILLE - The Northwest Florida Ballet School will present its student performance at 2 p.m. May 25 at the Mattie Kelly Arts Center.
