Baytowne Wharf Beer Fest: Roll out the barrel and discover unique suds and ales at the Sixth Annual Baytowne Wharf Beer Fest Oct. 19 throughout the Village. The main event, Craft Beer Tasting, is from 2-6 p.m. in the Events Plaza. Flea Market/Yard Sale: The Destin Community Flea Market/Yard Sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 19 at the Destin Community Center parking lot

Best of the Emerald Coast: The 2013 winners for the 13th annual 2013 Best of the Emerald Coast will be on display from 6-9:30 p.m. Oct. 19 at Grand Boulevard at Sandestin along the main street of the center. The best restaurants, retailers, service businesses, doctors, lawyers, photographer, art galleries, musicians, and more will be out in full force showing their goods and services.

Skeeter Experience: Test drive brand new 2014 SKEETER boats, meet top boating/fishing personalities and pros, get hands-on fishing tips during the Skeeter Experience from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 19. Free seminars will be held on the docks of Fudpucker’s Restaurant at the Fudshuckers Steam Shack & Raw Bar on Okaloosa Island.

Garage sale: Destiny Worship Center will host a garage sale to benefit DWC Kenya mission work from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 19 and 20 at 49 Paginet, off old 98, Avalon Beach Estates, in Miramar Beach.

Fundraiser: A yard sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 19 in Fat Clemenza’s parking lot in Holiday Plaza, Miramar Beach, to raise funds for the new facility being built by the Emerald Coast Children’s Advocacy Center in Walton County. Call 622-1153.

Book signings: Christian author Gail Pallotta will sign copies of her books, “Stopped Cold” and “Sweet Freedom with a Slice of Peach Cobbler,” from 12-4 p.m. Oct. 20 at Bad Ass Coffee, 1708 Scenic Gulf Drive in Destin, and 12-4 p.m. Oct. 26 at San Gelato at Silver Sands Premium Outlets.

Mullet Festival: The 37th Annual Boggy Bayou Mullet Festival opens at 9 a.m. Oct. 19 and 10 a.m. Oct. 20 with arts and crafts, carnival rides, attractions and booths. Entertainment includes country music legend Vince Gill. Visit mulletfestival.com to purchase tickets.

Artwalk on the Harbor: Destin Boardwalk’s Artwalk on the Harbor takes place from 1-4 p.m. Oct. 20. The free mini arts district features the work of local and regional artists, along with individuals who create or produce various forms of art, crafts, photography, clothing, jewelry, cosmetics, or perform/sell music. The event takes place in the area starting right below the zipline all the way to AJ’s.

SeaNest Village: The relaunch will be celebrated with a Low Country Shrimp Boil from 4-7 p.m. Oct. 22 on 30A a mile east of Seaside with food, drinks, live music and door prizes.

Jake’s Women: Northwest Florida State College presents the Neil Simon comedy at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 23-26 in the Sprint Theater of the Mattie Kelly Arts Center. Concert Series: The Village of Baytowne Wharf at Sandestin hosts a free concert with the Forrest Williams Band from 6-8 p.m. Oct. 23 in the Events Plaza. Call 267-8186.

Americana Under The Stars: Charlie Groth performs in a family/pet friendly concert from 6-8 p.m. Oct. 24 in the amphitheater at Topsail Hill Preserve State Park in Santa Rosa Beach.

Sinfonia Gulf Coast: Musical Identities features guzheng player Su Chang in an orchestral concerto and also the orchestral showpiece, “Scheherazade,” by Rimsky-Korsakov, at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 24 at the Emerald Coast Convention Center.

Oktoberfest Brats: St. Andrew’s By-the-Sea Episcopal Church will hold an Oktoberfest from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 25 at 307 Harbor Blvd. in their front parking lot. There will be bratwurst, sauerkraut and beverages as well as hot dogs for the children. A three-piece German band will play traditional German music from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Donations are welcome and will be used to support church ministries.

Pastel Society: The Pastel Society of North Florida will host a free painting demonstration, “One Image-Two Results,” by Elaine Augustine from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 26 at the Church of Christ’s Fellowship Hall, 232 Hollywood Blvd. SE. in Fort Walton Beach.

Choctaw Bay Music Club: Music honoring the Gettysburg Address and the Battle of Gettysburg will be featured at 3 p.m. Oct. 26 at the Brooks Beal Center, corner of Beal Parkway and Yacht Club Drive in Fort Walton Beach. The event is free and open to the public. Call 543-5673.

Vettes at the Village: Area Corvette Clubs bring America’s Sports Car to the Village of Baytowne Wharf at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 26.

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer: American Cancer Society volunteers will host their annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer (MSABC) event for the entire Emerald Coast at 9 a.m. Oct. 26 at Village Baptist Church on Matthews Boulevard in Destin. Registration begins at 8 a.m. Registration is free and people can sign up as teams, or as individuals.
