Snowbird Concert — 

Northwest Florida State College’s fine and performing arts scholarship students, the Soundsations Show Choir, will perform a variety show of song and dance at 2 p.m. Feb. 9 in the mainstage theater of the Mattie Kelly Arts Center in Niceville. Doors open at 1:30 p.m. Advance tickets are available only through local snowbird clubs for $8 and the event is a fundraiser for the Show Choir. Tickets will also be sold at the door for $8 plus a $2 per ticket box office processing fee. Call 729-6000.

American Legion

American Legion Post 296, 311 Main St. in Destin, will host a Murder Mystery Dinner, “Death by Candy Gram,” and a steak or chicken dinner at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 8. Cost is $28. Tickets being sold in the bar. Seating at 6:30 p.m.the following events. Pizza and hotdogs are sold from 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Call 837-3818.

Beaux Arts Exhibition

The Arts and Design Society presents the 55th Annual Beaux Arts Exhibition Feb. 8-9 in the Westwood Retirement Resort atrium, 1001 Mar Walt Drive in Fort Walton Beach. A reception and silent auction will be held from 2-4 p.m. Feb. 9 with awards to be given at 3:30 p.m. The reception and exhibition are free. Call 582-1329.

Winter Guests Concert Series

All winter guests and locals are invited to HarborWalk Village to enjoy a free concert from 2-4 p.m. Feb. 9 on the Destin harbor. Concerts are free and open to the public.

Glenn Miller Orchestra

Snowbird Movie Matinee

The Destin Library will host a free weekly movie matinee for winter visitors beginning at 2 p.m. Feb. 12. Seating will be limited to 30 on a first-come, first-serve basis. Call 837-8572.

Benefit concert

Musician David Seering will perform his annual concert to benefit local charity Children in Crisis at 7 p.m. Feb. 15 at Village Baptist Church in Destin.
