Chili Cook-Off — The Emerald Coast Parrot Head Club hosts its ninth annual Memorial Chili Cook-Off from 12-4 p.m. Feb. 22 at HarborWalk Village at Destin harbor. Continuum furnishes the music. Proceeds benefit Relay for Life/American Cancer Society. To enter the chili contest, email phelps.larry@yahoo.com . Prizes will be awarded. Tasting armbands are $15/gate. Crab Island Cantina will host the Second Annual Lick’em, Shoot’em, Bite’em & Eat’em contest.

BEach My Valentine

The Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation will present “BEach My Valentine,” an evening of food and music under the stars, from 6-9 p.m. Feb. 15, hosted by Bud & Alley’s Restaurant in Seaside. Topsail tour

Learn about non-native plant visitors from 2-3 p.m. Feb. 15 at Topsail Hill Preserve State Park in Santa Rosa Beach. Park entry fee is $6 per vehicle. Call 267-8330.

Benefit concert

Musician David Seering will perform his annual concert to benefit local charity Children in Crisis at 7 p.m. Feb. 15 at Village Baptist Church in Destin. The Van Deusen Trio, with Bobby Van Deusen on the piano, and guest artist Amanda Holmes will also perform. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at Children in Crisis, Lifeway Bookstore in Destin, and at P.S. Guitar recital

Classical guitarist Stephen Robinson will appear at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 15 in a free recital in the Tyler Recital Hall at the Mattie Kelly Arts Center at NWFSC in Niceville. Seating is limited. Donations will be accepted at the door.

Brunch on the harbor

Crab Island Cantina serves Sunday brunch from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with bottomless Margaritas, Bloody Marys and Mimosas, $12 with an entrée purchase.

ARTwalk on the Harbor

Local and regional artists and vendors display their work at ARTwalk on the Harbor, started by DestinBoardwalk.com and AJ's Seafood, and is held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 16 within the Destin Boardwalk from east of Margaritaville to AJ’s.  The event is free.

Sunday Brunch at Harry T's

Harry T’s serves brunch on the harbor from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Items served include fresh fruit, a fresh bakery basket, and your choice of fried potato hash browns or cheese grits. Bottomless champagne with entrée purchase.

Comedy competition

Crab Island Cantina presents “So You Think You’re Funny,” a comedy competition, at 6 p.m. every Sunday through March 9. Sign up at 5 p.m. Comedians from all over the south will compete. First prize is a round trip for two to Los Angeles to perform at the Comedy Store on Sunset Strip. Call 321-230-0487.

American Legion

American Legion Post 296, 311 Main St. in Destin, will host the following events. Pizza and hotdogs are sold from 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Call 837-3818.

Film Series

The Friends Guild of the Destin Library will sponsor a documentary/biography/music, “Searching for Sugar Man,” at 4 p.m. Feb. 18. The program is free and open to the public. Films are unrated and directed toward mature audiences. Seating will be limited to 30 on a first-come, first-served basis.     

Dinner and a Movie

A full length classic movie shown on the courtyard wall while a four-course prix fixe dinner, inspired by the movie Godfather II, is served from 6:30-10 p.m. Feb. 19 at Edward’s Fine Food & Wine, 66 Main St. in Rosemary Beach. Americana Under The Stars

Lis and Lon Williamson perform from 6-8 p.m. Feb. 20 in the amphitheater at Topsail Hill Preserve State Park in Santa Rosa Beach. Bring a chair and beverage. Free admission into park and a suggested donation of $5 goes to the Friends of Topsail Hill.

Coffee on the Coast 

Winter visitors and locals are invited to warm up with Coffee on the Coast from 9-11 a.m. Thursdays at Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park on Okaloosa Island. With paid admission, enjoy free coffee and muffins. Discover common misconceptions about stingrays at 9:30 a.m.

Benefit concert

The Moos Bros. and special guests the Mulligans perform Feb. 22 at Club LA in Destin. Doors open at 6 p.m. Admission is $20, and all proceeds will benefit the Taylor Haugen Foundation. Tickets are available at the door or purchase in advance at www.taylorhaugen.org.

Captain Midnight

The Captain Midnight Band will perform at 8 p.m. Feb. 22 at Two Stick Sushi Bar, 218 Harbor Blvd. in Destin.
