‘How Great Thou Art’ to benefit Holy Kidz Camps

barber & gall promotions recently announced they will produce a unique art auction and raffle event, “How Great Thou Art,” to benefit Holy Kidz Camps, a local charity. The event will be held from 5:30-8 p.m. Thursday, April 24, at Celebration Hall in Santa Rosa Beach. The event was inspired by 2014 Walton County Artist of the Year Mary Hong’s special art sessions with some of the campers this past December.
Attendees will not only be able to browse and bid on various one of a kind pieces of art, but also sample the fabulous fare, all while enjoying the complimentary wine and beverage bar and live entertainment. The art featured will not only be that of Hong and the campers, but also of selected other local artists, such as Allison Wickey and Robin Cannon of Redbird Art.
The evening will also present opportunities to win raffle prizes, such as a BOTE board, necklace from Adorn by Samouce, a beach portrait photography session from Melanie Barrett, merchandise from Blue Giraffe, and more.
The camps are held at various faith based locations throughout the Okaloosa and Walton communities. Scholarships are also given out to those children less fortunate in the community, so that every child has the opportunity to experience fulfilling and nurturing, faith based fun and learning.
“We are thrilled for this opportunity to work with barber and gall promotions and raise funds to further progress our children’s camps,” says Tami Carr, founder, Holy Kidz Camps. “Our goal is to share God’s love with children ages 4 to 16 and for them to have a personal relationship with him. While they are learning these life values, they build relationships with new friends and enjoy fun activities in a safe environment.”
Tickets are $50 each and are available at www.barbergall.ticketbud.com/how-great-thou-art.
Current event sponsors include Mary Hong Studio, Bud & Alley’s Dine by Design Catering and The Center for Cosmetic & Family Dentistry, with more to be announced soon.
