During April, the Arts and Design Society, 17 First Street, SE in Fort Walton Beach, presents the works of Vonnie Peters, who works in clay and watercolors, in the studio windows facing First Street.

Wednesday Night Concert Series

Dance Facets

The Northwest Florida State College dance students and faculty showcase their talents in jazz, ballet, modern and classical dance during Dance Facets at &:30 p.m. April 26 in the mainstage theater of the Mattie Kelly Arts Center on the Niceville campus. Proceeds benefit student scholarships and program support through the Frances Smith Herron Dance Studio Endowment. Cajun Crawfish Bash

The Rotary Club of Destin will present a “Cajun Crawfish Bash” at 5:30 p.m. May 2 at the Mattie Kelly Cultural Arts Village in Destin. Event proceeds will benefit young families in need through Food For Thought, Harvest House and the Boys & Girls Club of the Emerald Coast. Crawfish cuisine, plus hamburgers, hot dogs and barbeque chicken, will be served and the Season Ammons Band will perform. Destin Rotarians will serve as “Private Peelers” and “Bucket Barmaids” to earn tips and compete for the title of “Top Crawdad.” Tickets are on sale for $25/person, $10/children under 12, and $30/day of event. Resurrecting van Gogh

Emerald Coast Theatre Company presents “Resurrecting van Gogh,” a new solo performance piece based on the life, work and writings of Andy Martin, at 7:30 p.m. May 2 at 216 Quincy Circle in Seaside. Cinco de Meow-Yo

SOCKS will host Cinco de Meow-Yo from 6-8:30 p.m. May 3 at SOCKS Thrift Store, 498 Carmel Drive in Fort Walton Beach. There will be Mexican-themed food and drinks as well as store specials. Tickets are $5 per person, available at the door or in advance, which give you a raffle ticket and two drink tickets. Silent auction items will also be available.

Cinco de Mayo Festival

My Secret Garden

ArtWalk on the Harbor

Local and regional artists and vendors display their work at Artwalk on the Harbor, started by DestinBoardwalk.com and AJ’s Seafood, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 18 within the Destin boardwalk from east of Margaritaville to AJ’s.  The event is free.

Poker Run

The Big Mac Classic Poker Run, sponsored by Emerald Coast McDonald’s, owner Mike Wright, will be held from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. May 18 starting and finishing at AJ’s in Destin. BlazeFest 2014

Dancing with Desire

Dance champions seen on the hit series “Dancing with the Stars” will perform at a star-studded event at 7 p.m. June 19 on stage at the Mattie Kelly Arts Center in Niceville. The performance is presented by Fred Astaire Dance Studio-Fort Walton Beach. Ticket prices are $50 for general admission, and $100 for VIP, which includes preferred seating, access to the stars at the cast post party, and more.
