Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation and Trustmark Bank will present “Almost Styx,” a tribute show representing music from the 70’s and 80’s at 7 p.m. Aug. 31 at the Mattie Kelly Cultural Arts Village in Destin. Voted as one of the top 10 things to do in Northwest Florida by Florida Travel & Tourism Guide, Concerts in the Village has become a popular music experience that targets audiences of all ages spanning four generations.

“After a successful spring and summer concert series to record crowds, Concerts in the Village has become a favorite cultural celebration,” said MKAF CEO Marcia Hull.

Almost Styx is a high energy band formed from some of the most seasoned musicians in the Tampa Bay area. Created in 2009, Almost Styx has been rocking at the national level and brings an authentic vintage-like performance filled with vocal harmonies, energetic arena rock tunes and fun ballads mirroring the 1973-1983 original Styx band. Almost Styx has performed for thousands of audience members across the United States at well-known venues such as Margaritaville-Biloxi. They will take to the stage at The Dugas Pavilion to perform the most popular hits we know and love such as Come Sail Away, Renegade and many more.
