Wine World at Uptown Station recently announced the Fort Walton Beach Beer Festival Preview held Aug. 23 raised a total of $9,244 for Eglin Air Force Base’s Special Forces Association (SFA), Chapter 7.

Five-hundred attendees gathered to enjoy over 75 unique craft beers from over 20 local breweries, including Grayton Beach, Props, Pensacola Bay Brewery and more. Live music featured local band, Continuum, and culinary stations featured from Wine World Wine Bar, Buffalo Wild Wings, Winn-Dixie, and Burrito del Sol. Apex Broadcasting and the team of 103.1 The Blaze were present as media sponsors and broadcasted live from the event.

Special thanks to Shoreline Church for providing volunteers as well as tables for the event. Financial contributions were also made by Brian and Kimberly Pennington, Mary and Edwin Watts, Carol Meyer, Randy Spain, and White Wilson Medical Center.

“We are so excited to see this community event continue to grow and in return, raise more money for our local service men and women,” said Dina Bevis, property manager of Uptown Station.

“The outpouring of support from the community has truly been amazing,” says Jet Thompson, general manager of Wine World at Uptown Station. “We are sincerely thankful for all of the local businesses and individuals who have given their time, money, and efforts to help support this cause.”
