3 THINGS TO DO on Cinco de Mayo

1. Cinco de Mayo Fiesta/Pub Crawl

Enjoy an afternoon of free family fun from 1-4 p.m. May 5 at HarborWalk Village. There will be kids’ crafts, face painting and a stilt walker, plus “Destin Harbor’s Largest Piñata” break at 2:30 p.m. At 6 p.m. the annual Cinco de Mayo Pub Crawl begins. With your pub crawl pass enjoy drink specials all night at all the festive stops. Suggested donation is $10 to charity.

2. The Down & Derby Fest

The Junior League of the Emerald Coast hosts The Down & Derby Fest from 4-7 p.m. May 5 at The Market Shops in honor of the 144th running of the Kentucky Derby, shown live at 5 p.m. The festival will feature “Derby Fare” from local restaurants, with everything from a mint julep to an authentic Kentucky Hot Brown. VIP will open at 3:30 p.m. Get lost in the infield with Mose Wilson & The Delta Twang as they serenade guests and dress to impress in Derby attire to win prizes. VIP experience at Bijoux Destin includes complimentary valet parking, a premium viewing area, a private bourbon presentation and a commemorative 144th Derby glass. 3. Cinco de Mayo Kick-off Fiesta

Enjoy Cinco de Mayo the evening of May 5 at El Jalisco in Destin Commons. Then continue the party from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 6 at El Jalisco’s Latin Spring Festival Block Party in Destin Commons. The day includes arts and crafts, face painting, bounce house, contests, live dance performances, DJs and more.
